ABOUT US: University City Loop Community Foundation

The University City Loop Community Foundation was founded in 1984. The organization received its 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in 1985. For the past twenty-three years, the organization has produced the annual Loop in Motion festival on Delmar.

The mission of the UCLCF is to bring artistic and cultural opportunities to The Loop in both U. City and the City of St. Louis so that all ages, races, socioeconomic, and ethnic groups from the St. Louis metropolitan area may experience the arts and participate. This is accomplished by producing the Loop in Motion festival which provides a showcase for emerging artists, musicians & dance groups. The festival committee believes it is important to validate the creative efforts of the young artist.

The Loop in Motion festival is produced in cooperation with more than 25 organizations. Components of the festival are often produced by these organizations. The UCLCF believes working with other organizations results in better outcomes by bringing the community together and providing ownership in the event. The UCLCF has no employees. All services are provided on a contracted and/or volunteer basis. Board members and LIM committee members share a dedication to acknowledging and promoting the arts to people of all ages, socioeconomic levels, races & ethnic backgrounds in the St. Louis region.
